WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC 2023

In February and March 2023, I travelled with Team Australia to provide coverage from training camp to tournament. 

In a very intimate style of writing, we increased our following and captured the attention of fans on a global scale. We were nominated for an Australian Sports Media Award for our work.

I coordinated social media, wrote daily stories for baseball.com.au, wrote stories for major news outlets around the globe, provided game coverage plus pitched and coordinated media.  I was nominated for a writing award for my coverage of the team. 

Numbers include:
 

• News tracking services indicate a reach over 148 million not including shares, copies and screen grabs.
   

• Stories picked up from outlets all over world including MLB.com, Japan Times Al Jazeera, ESPN, Fox Sports, ABC, Sydney Morning Herald - to name a few
   

• 5,000,000 twitter impressions
   

• 1,800,000 reach on Instagram in three weeks
   

• Instagram and Twitter followings doubled
